About Yoko:

Yoko is a dedicated reader and although she enjoys a wide variety of genres, she prefers non-fiction, specifically serious dramas. She finds Cleveland a quiet, big city, and beautiful - "It's the people of Cleveland who make the city beautiful." Two of her preferred restaurants are Sergio's and Washington Place. Every other year she returns to Osaka, Japan to perform recitals with the same pianist and in the same recital hall. "Its becoming a tradition for me." Her most memorable Cleveland Orchestra moment was her 50 minute audition for then music director, Lorin Maazel. Little did she know it would be the last time she would play for him; it was Lorin's last week as music director with the orchestra.
