About Joela:

Joela Jones came to Cleveland by way of Florida State University and the Eastman School to study at the Cleveland Institute of Music; immediately afterwards she joined The Cleveland Orchestra and stayed in Cleveland. "I love the closeness of everything. The suburbs aren't far from downtown or University Circle; I love the Museum of Art, the Botanical Gardens and the Cleveland Zoo." Joela's husband is Richard Weiss, assistant principal cellist of TCO. In addition to piano, Joela plays harpsichord, organ, celesta, synthesizer and accordion. Some of her favorite restaurants include Lolita's, L'Albatros, Red, Hyde Park and the Winking Lizard (especially for late night take-out after a concert).
